Art Therapy Retreats
My art therapy retreats are thoughtfully designed spaces for slowing down, reconnecting, and engaging with creativity as a form of care. Rooted in safety, accessibility, and curiosity, these retreats invite participants to step away from everyday demands and into a supportive environment where art-making, mindfulness, and rest are woven together. No prior artistic experience is needed—these retreats are about process, presence, and coming exactly as you are.
Currently, all retreats take place in the Comox Valley, drawing inspiration from the surrounding land and natural rhythms. Materials are always provided, meals are included, and each experience is shaped with intention and care.
Half-Day Art Therapy Retreats
Half-day retreats offer a spacious yet accessible entry point into art therapy and mindful rest. These experiences typically include guided art-making, reflective pauses, and grounding practices designed to support nervous system regulation and self-inquiry. My wife, a certified yoga teacher, joins these retreats to offer gentle mindfulness, breathwork, and embodied practices that complement the creative process.
Half-day retreats are ideal for individuals, small groups, or organizations seeking meaningful restoration without a full-day commitment. All art materials are supplied, meals or nourishing refreshments are included, and no artistic or yoga experience is required. Come as you are!
Full-Day Art Therapy Retreats
Full-day retreats allow for deeper immersion into creative exploration, reflection, and rest. With a slower pace and more spacious structure, these retreats invite participants to move between art-making, mindfulness, breathwork, rest, and shared meals throughout the day. The combination of art therapy and yoga-based practices supports both emotional and embodied integration.
Full-day retreats are carefully held to balance structure and openness, offering time to explore personal themes while remaining grounded and supported. All materials and meals are included, and the retreat environment is designed to feel welcoming, calm, and restorative. Participants are encouraged to engage at their own pace and within their own comfort.
Collaborative & Hosted Retreats
In addition to hosting my own retreats, I am available to collaborate with retreat leaders, wellness practitioners, organizations, and community groups as an art therapist and artist. I can be invited to design and facilitate art therapy sessions within existing retreats or co-create retreat offerings from the ground up.
These collaborations can be tailored to align with the intentions of your retreat—whether that’s reflection, creativity, integration, or rest—and are grounded in trauma-informed, inclusive practice. If you are planning a retreat and are interested in weaving art therapy into the experience, I’d love to connect.
